Senior Bring A Friend Brunch

Registration:  Sept 1st - 15th, 2008 

Event:  September 17th - 11:00am

We would like to take this opportunity to invite all of our senior members to sign up to bring a covered dish and a friend to have brunch at the Y. 

There will be lots of good food, fun, and fellowship.

Birthdays at the Y

Give us two weeks notice, and the Palestine YMCA will throw a birthday party to remember! Everything’s included in this party, from cake to treat bags. Pick from a wide variety of color schemes, and get the party started. 

Registration: Ongoing, two weeks notice required

Session Times: Sat, 11:30a-1p, or 2p-3:30p

Ages: 12 years old and younger

Fees: $175 members, $200 participants

$10 per child over 14 children

Birthday Refund Policy:  All cancellations must be made one week prior to the date of the scheduled event to receive a full refund minus a $10 cancellation fee.  Any refund requests up to 24 hours prior to the time of the event will result in a 50% refund.

Youth Cheerleading

Yea Team!  Join the "Y" Squad and cheer for other sports programs here at the YMCA.  It's a great way to promote team work, coordination, team spirit as well as community spirit.  Participate in parades and various charity functions right here in your own hometown.

Youth & Government

Youths enrolled in Palestine YMCA’s Youth & Government learn about the state government while developing critical thinking and public-speaking skills in a fun, team-building environment.

Registration: First three weeks of school year

Session Times: School year

Palestine High School - Monday 6:30 p.m.

Westwood High School - Wednesday 3:30 p.m.

Palestine Junior High School  - Tuesday 3:30 p.m.

Fee: $20

5th Quarter

Sponsored by local youth ministries, this fun event provides a safe, enjoyable place to visit after the game. Free to the public, proper athletic attire is required.

Registration: To be announced throughout the school year

Ages: 12-18years old

Session Times: 10:30pm - 12:30am at the Palestine YMCA

Healthy Kids Day

Children will enjoy this fun annual event that is open to the public. Once having their card stamped by visiting all the booths at the health fair, kids then can be eligible for some "great" door prizes.

CPR/AED/First Aid

Registration: March 1 - 31, 2008

Session Time: April 12, 8am - 6pm

Ages:  16 years and up

Fee: $40 member, $60 participant

*Endorsed by the American Heart Association, this session certifies participants with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and basic first aid. A great class for caregivers, parents, and teens that baby-sit.

Come join us at the YMCA from 4:00 - 9:15pm on July 4th.  We will be opening up the Y to give families somewhere to wait for the fireworks display. 

For $5 per child (free admission of accompanying parent), you can come in and enjoy the climbing wall and a gym full of bounce "toys". 

Get here early t o acquire a good spot, then come wait in the air conditioned YMCA.
