At the YMCA of Palestine we offer a variety of LesMills Fitness classes ranging from the barbell based Body Pump to the high octane cycling class RPM and much more, all offered to our members with no additional charge. These classes and our inspiring instructors are at your disposal to achieve your fitness goals and exceed your expectations. 

Body Pump

THE ORIGINAL BARBELL CLASS, the ideal workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 400 calories**. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically-backed moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more. BODYPUMP is available as either a 55, 45 or 30-minute workout.

RPM/Cycle Blast

Group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It’s fun, low impact and you can burn up to 500 calories a session**. With great music pumping and the group spinning as one, your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. In an RPM workout you repeatedly spin the pedals to reach your cardio peak then ease back down, keeping pace with the pack to lift your personal performance and boost your cardio fitness. RPM is a great way to build up your sense of personal achievement. You can draw on the group’s energy and find your rhythm in the music. You control your own resistance levels and speed so you can build up your fitness level over time. It’s a journey, not a race!

Body Combat

A high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness and burn up to 570 calories** in a class. No experience needed. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ. Bring your best fighter attitude and leave inhibitions at the door. BODYCOMBAT is available as either a 55, 45 or 30-minute workout.

Body Step

Basic stepping, just like walking up and down stairs, is at the heart of BODYSTEP™ – a full-body cardio workout to really tone your butt and thighs. In a BODYSTEP workout you can expect a mixture of upbeat, rhythmic stepping, with squat and lunge patterns to work the legs. Combine this with movements like burpees, push ups and weight plate exercises, and the result is a fun, uplifting, full-body workout! Don’t worry, there’s heaps of options so that everyone leaves feeling successful. Our bubbly and approachable instructors coach you through the workout. We play invigorating, hit music and inject a whole lot of fun and personality along the way. You can burn up to 540 calories** and you’ll leave buzzing with satisfaction. BODYSTEP is available as either a 55, 45 or 30-minute workout.

A 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, increases speed and maximizes calorie burn. This workout uses a variety of body weight exercises and provides the challenge and intensity you need to get results fast. LES MILLS GRIT Cardio takes HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you, motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast.

Yoga/Pilates

Our Yoga and Pilates classes allow people of all skill levels to challenge their strength, agility, and flexibility. This class will consist of varying poses and positions that require skill development and breathing techniques challenging all who participant to center themselves. Each class is an opportunity to improve not only your fitness but your self-esteem and confidence. We look forward to seeing you on your mat!!

Zumba/Dance Fitness

Kickin-it Old School/Functional Strength

Kickin It Old School is a kick boxing fitness class with bag work, step cardio, and full body movements to get your heart working as fast as your hands. The class combines cardio and strength training all while listening to Old School hits!!!

Functional Fitness is a class tailored for those new to the fitness scene. This class is a perfect place to start your fitness journey. With simple but effective techniques used to get your body back in the swing. Our instructors help you achieve movement efficiency and build the foundations of proper exercise mechanics. Silver Sneakers

Elderly Woman at Gym

Silver Sneakers provides members a challenging but progressive workout to develop strength, flexibility, and stability. Classes consist of strength development, chair yoga, and basic plyometrics all to classic music. Silver Sneakers is a great place to stay active and to be connected to a community of individuals who desire healthy living.
